📌 Note: During the second year of training, there is a 10% increase in the stipend amount.

Merit List : Based on marks obtained in Std X (or Std XII for MLT).
For COVID Pass Candidates : IX Std mark sheet or X Std half-yearly marksheet will be considered.
Tie-Breaker : Older candidate preferred; if same DOB, earlier passed candidate selected.
Document Verification : Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification.
Medical Examination : Candidates must be physically fit as per Apprentices Act standards.
Final Selection : Based on merit, document verification, and medical fitness.

Only candidates from Tamil Nadu (residents or registered with local employment exchange) are eligible. Wards of Railway employees are exempted from this condition.
Higher qualifications (Degree/Diploma) are not eligible.
Ex-ITI candidates must have ITI certificate in the same trade.
SC/ST/OBC candidates must submit valid caste certificates (OBC must be Non-Creamy Layer).
PwBD candidates must submit disability certificate (40% or more).
Selected candidates must execute a contract of Apprenticeship.
