• Qualification: 10th Class Passed (Matriculation) from a recognised Board.
• Age: 17.5 – 22 years; born between 01 Jan 2005 and 01 Jul 2009.
• Marital Status: Only Unmarried Male candidates.
• Height: Min 152 cm; Chest expansion min 5 cm; Weight proportionate.
• Vision: Max refractive error ±3.5D, 6/36 each eye correctable to 6/9, CP-III; no corneal surgery.
• Hearing: Normal (forced whisper from 6 m).
• Dental: Healthy gums, min 14 dental points; no implants/orthodontic appliances.
• General Health: Fit for IAF, no active/chronic disease or disability.
• Tattoo: Only on inner forearms, back of hand / reverse palm, and tribal tattoos; offensive/obscene/sexist/racist tattoos prohibited.
• Sikh candidates may retain beard and hair as per religious norms.

• Phase I: Written Examination (English & GK – 30 marks)
• Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (1.6 km run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats)
• Phase III: Stream Suitability Test (practical for Hospitality or Housekeeping)
• Phase IV: Medical Examination (as per IAF standards)
• Document Verification of shortlisted candidates

• Cooking, kitchen management, dish presentation
• Maintaining sanitised kitchen environment
• Safe storage of food & items
• Handling crockery, cutlery, refrigeration
• Laying tables/chairs and serving food/water/beverages

• Cleaning floors, roads, rooms, bathrooms, commodes, urinals
• Making brooms, grass/hedge cutting, ground levelling, digging trenches
• Watering gardens, washing utensils/clothes, carrying water
• Handling office equipment
• Additional: hair cutting, shaving, ironing, stitching leather, sole making, shoe polishing, garment alteration, making ribbons/badges, etc.

• Engagement: 4 years under Air Force Act 1950.
• Annual Leave: 30 days per year.
• Seva Nidhi: One-time terminal benefit (monthly + matching government contribution).
• Insurance: Non-contributory life cover of ₹48 Lakhs.
• Permanent Enrolment: Up to 25% of batch may be enrolled in regular cadre (NC(E)) based on performance.
• No Ex-Servicemen Status after discharge.
• Marital Status: Must remain unmarried during the 4-year engagement; marriage leads to dismissal.
• Release at own request not permissible except in exceptional cases.
• Commissioning Exams: Permitted (max 5 attempts) during engagement.
• Permanent Debarment: For unfair means, impersonation, carrying prohibited items, etc.

• Visit https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in and download the application form from the ‘Agniveervayu Non-Combatant’ tab.
• Fill the form as per the prescribed format.
• Attach required documents:
  • 10th mark sheet & passing certificate
  • Recent passport-size photo (with slate showing name & date)
  • Consent certificate (self or parent/guardian)
  • Self-addressed envelope with ₹10 postal stamp
  • Character certificate (not older than 6 months) from Gazetted Officer / Panchayat Officer / School/College Principal
  • Experience certificate, if any
• Send the filled application by normal post or drop it in the drop box at any of the designated Air Force Stations (listed in the notification PDF).
• Write on the envelope: “Application For the Post of Agniveervayu Non-Combatant”.
• Ensure it reaches on or before 17 August 2026 (5:00 PM).
• Late or incomplete applications will be rejected. Multiple applications lead to rejection.
